Our Volunteers Play a Crucial Role in the Day-to-Day Success of ARC
Volunteers help us fulfill our mission of providing seniors in our community a friendly, supportive atmosphere in which to stay active, to socialize, and to receive the health support and assistance services they need to have a successful aging experience. Staff will help you find the volunteer opportunity that fits your interests and schedule. Ongoing volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to:
- East Desk Member Service Representative: Answering ARC member phone calls and registering members for programs on GymMaster. Must have computer skills. Other tasks may be assigned.
- Front Greeter: Greeting members, directing members to proper rooms, attendance tally, answering member questions, and tours
- Library Attendants: Keep the shelves orderly and process donations. This is more of a sharing library than a check out library. No need to bring books back!
- Gardening: Assist with watering plants and maintaining landscape areas.
- Teach a class or lead a program/activity

Volunteer Policy: If a volunteer will need to miss a scheduled shift, he or she must notify ARC one week in advance by phone or at kchimack@normaltownship.org. Emergencies will be handled as the need arises.

If interested in this volunteer opportunity, you can set up a schedule with Kristen that works best for you and meets the landscaping needs determined by the ARC Mangement Team. Volunteers will also be needed to help maintain plantings in the green space once the hardscaping is complete.
