ARC members and the public are invited to join ARC staff and the ARC Living Memorial Fund Board at the center for our Greenspace Ribbon Cutting Celebration on Tuesday, June 20th at 11 AM.
During the celebration, enjoy music and lawn games and grab a Hawaiian shaved ice treat for $4 from the Kona Ice Truck that will be serving on site. The ARC team looks forward to sharing in the excitement for the addition of this space to continue the growth of program offerings and to provide a safe, comfortable space to enjoy the outdoors in the company of friends.
We thank the many volunteers and donors who helped make our greenspace goals a reality. With your help, the ARC Living Memorial Fund has been able to raise and contribute over $75,000 to this project thus far. We especially thank the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation for awarding Normal Township the Go Green Frautschi/Bedell Grant to purchase plants to beautify the space, the Central Illinois Woodworkers Club for buiilding the raised garden beds, local contractor Larry Oleson for helping to design the raised garden beds, Bloomington Normal Community Bank for their generous donation of $1,000 toward the project, and Susan Kossman & Cindy Langrall for their vision, expertise, leadership, and labor in designing and implementing the landscaping throughout the space.
We look forward to celebrating and thanking you all in person, and we hope to see you there!
